How to Make Cool Chips

We're going to show you how to make two types of delicious chips. One are called diamond chips. and the other is ribbon crisps.

The first chips we'll show you are called diamond chips. Here is how to make them:

Ingredients

3 cups of all purpose flour

3 teaspoons of cumin seeds

3 teaspoons of salt

3 tablespoons of oil

1 tablespoon of butter, softened and at room temperature

1 1/2 cups of water


Recipe

First, mix all the dry ingredients together in a medium-large sized bowl. Add in the oil as well.

Then, pour the water into the dry mixture and mix into a dough. 

After that, add the butter in the dough and mix until combined. 

Knead dough into a soft ball.
Then, roll out dough into a flat piece. (You may need to separate the dough into 2 or 3 different parts to do this.)

Cut your circle of dough into square (or diamond) shaped pieces.

After doing that, slide your pieces into hot oil. 

After reaching a peachy-golden-brown color, take the chips out of the oil. Add some paprika powder for flavor. 


And there they are:  easy, delicious, and fun chips. 


The next chip we are showing are called Ribbon Crisps. They, of course are very crispy and are in the shape of a ribbon.

Ingredients

4 cups of rice flour
2 cups of gram flour
2 teaspoons of salt
4 teaspoons of paprika powder
4 tablespoons of soft butter at room temperature; unsalted
2 teaspoons of asafoetida


Recipe

Mix all the ingredients together. Add water to it a bit at a time until the dough is thick, sticky, and creamy.


Then, using a pasta pump , pump the dough into ribbon shapes into the hot oil. 
Once the chips are an orange-brown color, take them out....
And then you have great chips to eat at any time!
